Ingalsbe Cruises Through Draw to Win Girls' 18U Title at Level 2 San Antonio
Tournament date: February 7, 2026
Alanna Ingalsbe, the No. 3 seed, won the Girls' 18 & Under singles title at the Level 2 in San Antonio, TX, held February 7-9 at Alamo Heights ISD Tennis Center. Ingalsbe was the most consistent player in the draw, winning the title without dropping a set.
A Clinical Final
In the final, Ingalsbe faced No. 4 seed Ava Beltran, who had earned her spot with an impressive semifinal performance. The match was competitive but Ingalsbe stayed in control throughout, winning 6-4, 6-3 to take the title.
Ingalsbe's Dominant Path
Ingalsbe earned a commanding 6-0, 7-5 quarterfinal win over Madeline Wasserman, cruising through the first set before facing some resistance in the second. In the semifinals, she dispatched No. 2 seed Lauren Nolan 6-3, 6-3 in a statement win that signaled she was the player to beat.
Rhoden Upsets Top Seed McGill
The biggest upset of the draw came in the quarterfinals, where unseeded Briley Rhoden knocked off No. 1 seed Calla McGill. McGill took the first set in a tiebreak, 7-6(3), but Rhoden fought back to take the second 6-3 and then won the match tiebreak 10-7. It was a gutsy three-set comeback against the top-seeded player.
Rhoden's run ended in the semifinals, where Beltran proved too strong, winning 6-3, 6-1.
Beltran's Solid Run to the Final
No. 4 seed Beltran had a clean path to the final. She handled Sadira Ouyang 6-4, 6-3 in the quarters and then dispatched Rhoden comfortably in the semis. But Ingalsbe proved a step too far in the championship match.
